Home Narrative Sessions
These sessions are great for small families (especially those with newborns and young children) and couples that are looking for a raw, honest, low-key session. We'll work together to plan your session, and I'll come to your home to document you and your person or family in action. These can be as casual to you running around the backyard or holding your new little one in their nursery to a fun, playful baking moment in the kitchen or cuddling and dancing in the living room.

For the Lovers:
Standard Elopement Package
Love is an adventure, and climbing the highest mountain, feeling the sea breeze on your skin, or running around your favorite city with the one you love makes for a beautiful story. Having the day you declare your love be all about you and the one you love, and I'm always happy to help you capture the memories of your special day.
An elopement with me as your photographer begins with a minimum of four hours, with additional add-ons available.

Intimate Wedding Package
This day is about the promise you're making to one-another, and you want a stress-free celebration. I, too, want you to have the best day sharing your vows in front of the people you love most, and I will capture the sweet kisses shared between you and your person, the soft tear rolling down your best friend's face, and the little one gleefully enjoying a piece of wedding cake.
An intimate wedding with me as your photographer begins with a minimum of four hours, with additional add-ons available.

FAQ
So how does booking a photoshoot with you work?
You'll first determine the type of photo session or package you would like to book. Then you can either send me an email at jocelyntranphoto@gmail.com, or you can find a date on my booking site that best works for your schedule. If you book online via my website, we'll both receive notifications that you have chosen a date and photo session. The initial booking process also includes the invoice for the nonrefundable retainer, which holds your session date and time. You'll soon receive an online contract for you to sign within three days.
This is going to be an experience. I value my clients, so I really want to spend a little time getting to know you! I'll then send you a questionnaire with questions that will help me learn more about your vision for your photoshoot, who else will be in the photos, why taking these photos are important to you, etc. My goal is to truly capture who you are, along with your loved ones. You'll also receive a style guide that might give you inspiration about what to wear during your session.
The day of your photoshoot, I'll meet you at our chosen location, and we'll spend our allotted time having fun and taking photos.
Do you accept payment plans?
Certain packages do include payment plans, specifically my Memoir, Elopement, and Intimate Wedding packages. Send me an email at jocelyntranphoto@gmail.com, and we can work out the details!
When is payment due?
A 25% nonrefundable retainer is required during the booking process for full sessions (retainer costs for minis vary). Retainer and signed contract must be received within 48 hours of your request, or your session will be declined or cancelled.
The remaining balance is due 1 week before your session. If remaining balance is not received on due date, sessions will be cancelled within 48 hours.
For sessions that take place in a studio or an indoor venue requiring payment, the cost of the studio/venue will be added to the initial cost of the photo session. Any additional studio/venue costs must be paid prior to me booking the location. If your selected studio allows refunds, this payment can be refunded to you.
What kind of payment do you take?
Once you've selected a date and time and have booked via my website, you'll receive an invoice from me, and you'll be prompted to pay via debit or credit card.
When you pay your remaining balance, you'll be sent another invoice 1 week prior to your session, and you'll be given the option to again pay with card.
What should I wear to a photo session with you?
I believe the focus of your photos should be YOU. Busy patterns tend to be a distraction, so I suggest wearing solid-color clothing, subtle prints, and/or neutrals.
After booking, you'll receive resources about styling and clothing, and more clothing ideas!
I'm shy in front of the camera. What should I do?
Don't worry! Focus on being yourself and having fun, and I'll help you with natural prompts and poses along the way!

I'm planning to elope or have a small wedding. What does the planning process with you look like?
I want your day to run as smoothly as possible, and I truly want to provide you with the best experience and photos. From your initial inquiry and booking to the day you receive your final images from me, I will walk alongside you and plan my part as your photographer with you. We'll schedule virtual (or in-person, if you're local!) check-ins leading up to your day, so that all you have to do on the day of your elopement or wedding is have the very best day!
My child is very active, and I'm worried they might not do well during a photoshoot.
Not a problem! I have over a decade of experience working with children and am a mother, myself. I would never expect children to sit perfectly still during a photo session, so we'll go with the flow! Because I'm a lifestyle photographer, I love capturing candid moments, so let your children be themselves, focus on having fun, and trust the process. I promise these moments will make for great photos!
Can I extend the session on the day of?
I LOVE spending time with my clients, however, if you're interested in extending your session, just be sure to let me know when you reach out to book your photoshoot date, to determine if it is possible to extend your session.
What kind of gear do you use?
I currently shoot with a Canon camera and Canon-compatible gear.
When can I expect my digital photos to arrive?
With most sessions, I will email you a link to your online gallery within two weeks of your completed photo session. The photos in this gallery will be edited and will consist of multiple shots for you to keep.
You can expect your edited images and gallery for elopements, intimate weddings, and special events between 4-8 weeks (depending on the event).
