I am a lover of love and a lover of storytelling, and I love combining the two during photo sessions. We can find a location that you adore and give you the space to be yourself there, or we can work together to curate a storyline that resonates with you. You love to enjoy coffee on a Sunday morning in your garden? You love to explore new cities with your favorite person? Let's make that part of your session!
I am a lifestyle and primarily natural light photographer, meaning I look for those authentic moments that are true to your story in the light of the sun. I'll be there to document the moment when your person whispers an inside joke that you've shared with them for the past five years into your ear, and you throw your head back and laugh. They grab your hand and pull you closer, as you two both lean in for a sweet kiss, and you quietly tell them, "I love you." They intertwine their fingers with yours and hold your hand tighter....The little moments that make up your grand story.
I would describe my editing as earthy and warm, soft, and a bit moody. I draw inspiration from literally from the sun, earth, and from you. The warm tones that are created from the glowing sun and its rays landing on the grass, trees, and your skin stands out to me, and I only want to embrace that natural beauty that is already there, especially the beautiful skin that you're in.
This is our process:
I. We Book the Date.
We work together to pick the best date and time for your session.
II. We Plan Your Session.
We'll pick the best location and come up with ideas for your session together, and then I'll send you a contract and an invoice for a 25% retainer fee at booking. From there, I'll countersign the contract and send you a copy of the fully signed contract, along with my welcome guide and a styling guide.
III. We Take Your Photos!
Lifestyle photography involves capturing honest moments, so you might receive prompts from me that will get you moving around, laughing, and honestly smiling. Occasional posing might also take place, but I'll guide you through any poses, and I'm right there posing with you, so you can have a visual idea of the pose we're going for. You'll hear a lot "Oh, my gosh! You're so beautiful!" or "Ugh! I love that!" from me, too!
Receiving Your Gallery
I'm the photographer that can't wait to start editing your images after your session, so you can expect a sneak peek with a few edited images within 48 hours. For 1 or 2-hour sessions, I'll have your gallery completed within 2 weeks, while event galleries will be completed within 4-8 weeks (depending on the event). From there, you'll have access to an online gallery and beautiful images to keep and share for years.
